چکیده
Bacterial pustule of soybean is a foliar disease caused by Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. glycines. The organism produces pustules which causes premature defoliation and ultimately results in significant reduction seed yield quality. Use resistant cultivars can be cost effective eco-friendly approach to address the issue. This study was aimed at development rapid reliable in-vitro screening method genotypes for identification resistance sources bacterial disease. One hundred thirty-six including released varieties, indigenous exotic germplasm were screened excised leaf technique their reaction An improved developed. Rooting survival studies indicated that leaves from 25 days old plants could survive up 30 room temperature plain water. Inoculation with suspension 107 109 colony forming units (cfu/ml) 27±1°C under photoperiod 12h/day light showed initiation chlorotic lesions 48 hours after inoculation. Based on latent period appearance lesions, classified as susceptible, moderately resistant. Four (TS-3, P-4-2, Hara Soya Himso 1685) while, seventeen (AMS MB5-19, Bhatt, DSb-12, JS-335, JS93-05, MACS- 1188, MAUS- 71, PK-262, PS- 1241, Pusa-5, RKS- 18, SL-688, SL-744, SL-958, SL97-52, SL-979, T99-76) rest susceptible

Ten strains of Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. glycines, the causal agent of bacterial pustule of soybean, which were isolated from various soybean growing regions of Thailand, produced an extracellular diffusible factor (DSF) related to a well-characterized quorum sensing molecule produced by other Xanthomonas spp. Genomic DNA of the 10 strains of X. axonopodis pv. glycines contained rpfF, a gene e...

Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. glycines (Xag) is a pathogen that causes bacterial leaf pustule (BLP) disease in soybeans grown in Korea and the southern United States. Typical and early symptoms of the disease are small, yellow to brown lesions with raised pustules that develop into large necrotic lesions leading to a substantial loss in yield due to premature defoliation. After Xag infects PI 9618...

Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. glycines (Xag ) is a necrotrophic bacterial pathogen of the soybean that causes bacterial pustules and is a nonhost pathogen of the chili pepper. In the current study, chili pepper fruit wound inoculated in planta with Xag 8ra formed necrotic lesions on the fruit surface and induced several structural and chemical barriers systemically in the fruit tissue. The initial...

متن کاملHigh-Quality Genome Sequence of Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. glycines Strain 12609 Isolated in Taiwan
The genomic sequence was determined for Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. glycines strain 12609, isolated in Taiwan. Based on the genome sequence, we predicted the encoded genes, rRNA, tRNA, a plasmid sequence, secretion systems, cyclic GMP- and cyclic di-GMP-mediated pathways, and the gene cluster rpfABCHGDE (regulation of pathogenicity factor).
